RTS Forestry annually harvests and markets in excess of 200,000 tonnes of timber to a wide range of customers including all the major roundwood processing facilities in Scotland. We don't aggregate volumes with fixed supply contracts with any one individual market, we identify the best available market for each parcel on an individual basis and maximise returns.

Contractual independence

Maintaining contractual independence allows RTS Forestry the opportunity to market our clients timber to the maximum advantage through a wide range of harvesting and marketing models, designed to suit individual circumstances.

RTS works with a dedicated and skilled contractor base to ensure that the highest standard of work is delivered. We provide regular reports of progress and ensure that clients are fully consulted during the operation. 

We undertake all sizes of operations from scale scale thinnings to contracts greater than 100,000 tonnes.

Specialists in small scale and difficult terrain operations

To complement our core large scale harvesting activities, RTS Forestry has recently recruited staff and contractors with a specialism in small scale and difficult terrain operations. In conjunction with these contractors, we have invested in small scale, low impact harvesting equipment to deliver operations with the minimum of disruption and environmental damage.
